The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) is a not-for-profit organization created in 2002 to advocate for more funding into the causes and treatments for frontotemporal degeneration (FTD), as well as to provide caregivers and patients with a central place to find information and support.

The Alzheimer's Association is the largest national voluntary health organization dedicated to advancing Alzheimer's research and helping those affected by the disease. Alzheimer Europe (AE) is a Non-Governmental Organisation aimed at raising awareness of all forms of dementia through coordination and cooperation between Alzheimer and related disorders organisations in Europe, as well as organising support to the sufferers of the disease and their carers.

De Vlaamse Alzheimer Liga is ontstaan uit de door familie ervaren behoefte aan steun en samenhorigheid tussen mensen die zich geplaatst zagen voor de zorg voor een dementerend familielid.
